The Standard Assessment Tests (SATs)

SATs are taken at the end of the year during Key Stage 2. Generally they are taken in Year 6 around May and the results are posted in July.

Academic Enrichment Centre is an established and trusted tutoring centre that specialises in the tuition and preparation of students for their SATs examinations.

For all of our programmes, students will receive a 12 week progress report and have the opportunity to discuss it with their tutor.
For 2016 the KS2 SATs underwent a complete overhaul to mirror the new primary national curriculum. Our tailored course is crafted to best help prepare our students for their examinations, whilst giving them the confidence to sit the exams and believe in their ability.

The SATs test students on the core subjects: Mathematics, English and Science. The scoring system has also changed for this year and now works upon 100 marks being the expected standard, a mark below this is considered as working ‘towards the expected standard’ and anything above is considered as working ‘above the expected standard’. Many secondary schools will use the results as a benchmark for deciding on which classes the student should be placed in.

Our tutors have a great deal of knowledge and experience on preparing KS2 students for their SATs, and are able to provide them with the necessary supported needed for success.

If you’d like to apply to any of the courses or require any further information, please get in touch.
